The entire demonstrator and its individual components are mapped using digital twins. These are realised in the form of management shells with corresponding submodels. In addition to submodels already standardised by the I4.0 platform, specific submodel definitions are also used. Furthermore, the classification standard ECLASS is used for the feature description in the management shell. The process of the demonstrator plant is controlled by a higher-level software (MORYX) for controlling production and logistics processes, which communicates with the individual components. There is no process-related communication between individual components. Depending on the component, communication is handled via OPCUA, MQTT or TCP/IP socket commands. The AI is implemented as an external service that can be addressed via REST interface.
