Modern factories are producing more and more data. However, only a fraction of this is used by MES and ERP systems for the actual control of the factory. And the rest? The data is usually lost or ends up unused in the cloud. Together with Industry 4.0 pioneer Johann Hofmann and data analyst Dr. André Kempe, we discuss practical AI use cases, such as how sensor data can be used to improve quality (reject detection in difficult cases), how wave analysis can be used to retrofit existing machines with predictive maintenance (independent of the manufacturer), or how production control can be optimized with sales forecasts (quantity and price analytics).
