The focus of our first transfer workshop will be on the topic "Reduction of set-up time". This is one of the central starting points for building a lean factory. Often factories are geared to the production of large batch sizes. By reducing set-up times, it is now possible either to increase plant availability or to reduce throughput times and inventories and increase flexibility by more frequent set-ups. The coaches of our best practice partner Fischer have relevant experience in this area - after all, they have succeeded in reducing set-up times in their own factories to single-digit minute values.
